Resources and Methodology

Our tasks related to environmental education are matched to age, field of interest and professional orientation. In our view, all visitors to our exhibitions should be helped to a suitable level of environmental awareness of the Hortobágy. Demonstration is carried out using different resources and methods for school classes and professional groups. When selecting appropriate tools and methods, the following two categories should be distinguished:

Individual visitors, families and other self-organised groups acquire information at the exhibition sites and other facilities from already existing materials. They generally do not seek professional guiding, therefore, much emphasis should be placed on the clear, attractive and easily understandable output of information, that is also professionally impeccable.

2.

Groups who seek professional guiding receive many extra services in addition to the existing infrastructure that make the program more illustrative and interesting. The professional knowledge complemented by additional resources (field equipment, worksheets, games, music etc.) may improve the dissemination of environmental knowledge and raise awareness.
