"Fecskeház" Youth Hostel and Field Study Centre

Hortobágy-Máta

 

The „Fecskeház” Youth Hostel and Field Study Centre is a great starting point for discovering the puszta, located at Hortobágy-Máta, 2 kilometers from Hortobagy village, 300 meters from the famous Máta Stud. The comfy rooms, sunny lunchroom and large yard makes it a great accomodation for longer os shorter staying, up to 34 persons at a time.

New observatory dome, outdoor activity shed, sport court, playground, outdoor cooking accessories serve our visitors. 

The Field Study Centre regularly hosts school groups and offers many touristic and educational progams, including guided museum tours, hikes, bike tours, educational activities and stargazing 

Open between 15th April – 31st October. Only for groups above 20 persons between 1st November – 14th April.

5 double bed rooms with toilet and shower
1 four bed room with toilet and shower
1 apartment including 2 double bed rooms and toilet and shower
4 rooms with two bunkbeds each, one toilet and shower for all of them
