we inform you, that the facilities in Hortobágy operate with limited opening times as follows:
Hortobágy Wild Animal Park (in Hungarian: Hortobágyi Vadaspark)
The Hortobágy Wild Animal Park is like a zoo, with the ancient wildlife (wolf, pelican, jackal, wild horse etc.) of the Hungarian Puszta.
Opening times in wintertime
1 December - 15 Marc 2024 - with previous registration by phone 003630 5645773 from 10.00 to 13.45: open every day, but closed on mondays, Christmastime and New Year. After phone arrangement the Wild Animal colleagues take up the guests at the Hortobágy Csárda parking place or other meeting site in Hortobágy village. Tickets are avaiable from the driver, only by cash (HUF).
From 16 Marc (open every day, except mondays):
The Hortobágy Wild Animal Park can be reached only by a vehicle (mostly bus) of the Hortobágy National Park. It starts between 10.00 and 14.00 o'clock in every hour from the parking place of Hortobágy Infó. Tickets are avaiable in the same builduing before the program.
The Tourinform office and the Wild Animal Park on Mondays are closed.
Prices:
adult: 2 200 HUF/pers.
reduced: 1 700 HUF/pers.
family (2 adults, 1,2 children): 6000 HUF/family
extra safari: 2500 HUF/pers. This additional program is very limited avaiable in wintertime. It depends on the weather and road conditions.
Puszta Rare Breeds Park – Puszta Zoo (in Hungarian: Pusztai Állatpark)
The Puszta Rare Breeds Park presents domestic animals of the Carpathian basin and different tools and ways of animal keeping.

Hortobágy Bird Park – Bird clinic (in Hungarian: Madárkórház)
The exhibition of the Bird Park presents the biosphere of the Puszta and the dangers threatening birds. Different kinds of injuries and their treatment can be seen at the display bird clinic.
